Me and M88LDY, spent the day working on his 197.

Here is what we used

Shampoo: Meguiars Gold Class
Wheels: Valet Pro Bilberry Wheel Cleaner (3:1)
Clayed: Dodo Juice Born Slippy + Basics of Bling Clay
Machine Polish: Poorboys SSR2, SSR1 and Dodo Juice Lime prime
Wax: 3 layers of Dodo Juice Orange Crush Wax

Car was riddled with swirl marks and a few deep scratches.

Washed, clayed, washed again and dried. Masked up ready for machine polishing.

Cutting pads and SSR2 used, then 3 layers of Orange Crush applied.

Haha, the grass is always greener. I wouldn't mind a Golf GTI, but I am sure both cars have pros and cons.

Why did you tape it all off, BTW?
 
I love my Golf, GT TDI and goes like .... but they are big heavy lumps that arent really that much fun to drive.

It's 3M masking tape, when machine polishing you don't want all the gaps filling up with polish also it stops any damage to plactics etc when the polisher is passing over.
