Lowering the steering column

Has anyone lowering their steering column further than the factory adjuster allows ?

Spaced mine down in my old M3 track car, but haven't had the time to remove the trim to see if its possible on the clio.

Trying to nail a good bucket seat position. The closer you bring the wheel to the driver the further it goes up annoyingly.

It's possible. I've lowered mine around an inch with a number of spacers.

Long shot but any chance you have any pictures of it ?

Or is it just a simple case of longer bolts and spacers ?

It's hung off 4 studs, so you just need to add a million washers or get some spacers made.

I've not got any pics and the cars down my unit. It's pretty self explanatory once you get in there

There's a build thread on here where somebody did exactly this and I'm sure he put pictures in it.
