Le Mans 24 hours 2015

I'm heading over for only the second time this year, just wondered if anyone else on the forum was going? Really is an amazing place.

Loved Le Mans, I went to the Classics though. It's amazing to see all the old cars that were before my time.

Roads are epic to Le Mans too.

From what i've heard about the number of people having things stolen/damaged i'm glad i'm going to the Nurburgring 24h this year.

We'll be going again this year. Went in 2013 and loved it so much, was gutted we couldn't make it last year.

We pay a little more for private camping for the security and facilities. Thinking of doing Wednesday - Monday this year. Plymouth - Roscoff ferry.

How much is the camping if you don't mind me asking and through what company is that with?

Really tempted to go this year.

3 of us went with Speed Chills on the Bleu Sud site (not far from start finish straight) we paid £975 for 3 of us including ferries (Portsmouth - Caen then return Roscoff - Plymouth), camp site and race tickets. So £325 per person

It's that time of year when it's all getting booked up. Both Bleu Sud Speed Chills and the Thomas Cook airtrack sites are now full.

We're now deciding if we want to stay on the Travel Destinations site (Porsche Curves with private viewing so currenlty winning but costs a little more) or Speed Chills down at Beausejour (slightly cheaper)

I went in 2013 and stayed on maison blanche booked through travel destinations and have done the same again this year. You will always hear the story's about things getting stolen but common sense is don't leave anything not locked away in your car.
With maison Blanche being inside the track you can't get in without a valid race ticket and that seemed to stop the unsavoury types roaming around some of the other sites. I'm going Thursday to Monday I paid £169 for ferry, race tickets and camping but it was an extra £85 for the campsite upgrade.

Would love to go, probably will in 2016. Have however booked for WEC at Nurburgring (first time it is in Germany). Can't wait

Im going with the historics, been many years as a spectator and never heard of thefts! its going to be no different to anything with large volumes of people, ive heard first hand in the BTCC paddock of drivers having helmets and engineers having laptops stolen! mainly at northern tracks though lol
