well, I collected the beast this morning ... a March 2007 (07) RS197 ... and with the cruise on at 70mph the tachometer was sat at exactly 3500 rpm (and the front tyres are brand new so at their maximum radius). So I think I still have the older box fitted...
Literature that I got with with car indicates a build date of December 2006 with alarm fitted the same month....
Not the most relaxing car on the M4 but wow it is fun when you got off the motorway. And I have to say the RS197 feels very 'planted' at motorway speeds.... love it!
