Lambda Sensor.

When the car went in for service/health check it was reading funny but not overly to cause a problem. Mechanic mentioned it could be :

1. timing out (but he didn't think that as its still on 1st belt from factory)
2. lambda sensor reading funny, he said get a new one.

not 100% sure which one or where to get from, or what to ask for as on the health sheet it reads

U/S H02 sensor scope results show minor errors

Hoping Foxspeed  or someone can enlighten me on this.

have been told its a job i can do my self, just gotta find out what part i need lol

theres 2 sensors....

first one on the manifold BEFORE cat this is for the fuelling to run lambda control

the second one is AFTER the second cat and basically monitors the effiency of the first (this is usually the one that puts the flashing engine light on for emissions failures)

the sensore just screw in (think they are 24mm spanner size) as for cost best ask karl :jase:

Cheers mate!

I'll give the bloke a ring to double check of first or second. Or are they the same sensor in terms of ordering one?

Cheers

Will

It's the upstream sensor I need to try replacing (I had to ask... But that's the front one)

So second question, other than Karl, where else can I get this as he's on holiday now, and I'm off work next week so can get it fitted

thats like the main one that does the fuelling when running closed loop control

the second one is like just monitoring the first one and helps maintain efficiency or conversion of the exhaust gas for the cat - tighter control of emission standards

in that link the first picture looks like the second sensor with the black wiring and multi plug

the second picture is the first sensor due to the rigid wiring sleeve - you can just see it when under the car on top of the collector of the manifold...

who did the health check, i pretty sure i was told that the timing is slightly out from factory, matt at tdf told me this when i had my car mapped and is the first thing they do when remapping

Was done at a Renault specialist mate. Diamond motors.

Mick said it was more likely to be the sensor than timing?
