Keycard question....

Just read on a website of people with 197 who's cars would open and start without key card in slot!!!!! Some say they've started car only to realise they left ket in wallet at home....any similar experiences????

The key doesn't have to be in the slot, well it doesn't in my 200. It simply has to be in range.

Once started the car will continue until you stall/switch it off whether the card is in the car or not.

Key card has to be within about 2 meters of the car to unlock it.

Key card has to be inside the car to start it. I've found that even if I lean through the window to put the ignition on it won't do it, as the key is not inside the car

Same here as above. Card is very sensitive.
