You can get pops and bangs from an aftermarket/custom made exhaust that are loud enough to set off car alarms, trust me I speak from experience

You can get a 'crackle' map which gives off pops and bangs, but it sounds horrific imho and will destroy the catalytic converter.

Even my resonated Scorpion gave a nice burble on the upshift, and popped away when decelerating in 2nd or 4th (never 3rd?!)
Someone down my road has a Focus RS with a Milltek system and that bangs away - sounds great, but would do my head in eventually to be honest.
