injectors

how likely is it that one of the injectors could fail? today driving home the car stalled again at the lights.. Again nothing on the computer as I got it checked as soon as I got home.. no engine lights flashed.. felt like it wasn't getting fuel and previously there has been an message saying "poor catalytic conversion in cylinder 1" the plugs have been replaced as have the ignition coils.. so the only other thing I can think is there's no fuel?

How can I test the injectors? where are they located? I am not selling the car broken so need to get it fixed by the end of the month!

for that price there's a fuel rail + injector on ebay for £50.... is it worth it instead of getting them tested?

swap the injector with another, if the problem happens again, get the diagnostics on and see if the faults moved or still on the first cylinder

I will try but the last time it happened no fault was logged.. I think I had dirty fuel which has started this issue :worried: is it possible to clean injectors?

run the tank low and then get some injector cleaner in the fuel tank

have you checked the tdc sensor?

I'd ran the tank dry now about 4-5 times and filled with super each time is it worth throwing some injector cleaner in?

..

You dont mean run dry as in ran out do you?

You can draw crap out the tank doing that and block the injectors.

Nah just very low the tank was emptied and washed last year when the fuel pump was replaced...

I think I got dirty fuel a few months back though because as soon as I got the fuel the car started acting up :worried:

Get some BG44K fuel system cleaner off ebay, its proper strong stuff.

i will stick my neck out and say i cannot see it being the injectors.....

i think it would miss-fire and run lumpy rather than just stall

still might be worth removing the tdc sensor and giving it a clean etc
