Induction kit... Yes or no?

Okay so I have been trawling forums and found negative responses to the ktc induction kit. However after a few views there are some which go in favour for it. I have a clio 200 and was wondering whether it's worth it or whether I will have negative gains :/ opinions please...

If it's set up properly and subsequently mapped, then you should gain a few BHP and at throaty roar.

Having said that, for the money, I'd just get a panel filter.

You won't get negative gains from it.

I've just sold mine, was a bit loud and annoying for me, but I'm sure others love that. When I was just going too and from work it was annoying. Sounded awesome when you wanted it to though.

You really need to get the car mapped to gain the BHP, but the KTEC induction kit is one of few types that won't LOSE you power.

Chris! I can't believe you've sold it already haha!

Yeah mate lol. Annoying me.

i do want the car louder, so im guna get it decatted but the induction kit was just irritating for day to day driving.

I had to adjust my driving style. Anything over 50% throttle and it would gurgle. I don't think it's a bad thing though, you can easily hear if you're labouring the engine. Have you gone back to standard airbox? I've got a Pipercross Panel filter here being unused.

Yah standard airbox, but I've got an itg filter in it. Cheers though mate

i did get used to it after a week and got used to driving it so it doesn't make such a huge noise, but for £200 It was a lot of money for just when I want to hear it lol.

My induction kit should arrive tomorrow, il be fitting it straight away. I've seen a few people mention that there is oil involved with this kit? Have I just made that up or is there oil applied to it? Why would a rubber hose and air filter need oil?

Oil is used to filter even smaller particles of dirt out and as such needs to be cleaned every year and re-oiled,which kit you gone for as an open filter like the ktec is unlikely to have oil, my MAXOGEN does as its in an enclosure
