How many 197 F1 produced?

Is there any info about the number of 197´s r27 F1 Team produced?
I´m close to buy one here in Portugal (n1864), the seller tell me there is only 2 in Portugal both imported from Germany. The only information I found is relatively to de UK 500 units produced.

Have a look on the R27 register enclosed in this forum. The first post would appear to indicate at least 2800 non UK cars.

so out of the UK does not hear a limited production and just number the cars depending on which ones were producing right?

Doesn't really help on the F1 front but I can tell you how many 197 Cup's were produced.

432 In Total, 266 in Glacier white, 87 in Racing Blue and 79 in Nimbus.

A bit of useless information in this instance.

According to an answer one german forum user received from Renault it was 3367 R27's manufactured for all of the markets.
