Hi russ,just wondering how much u charge for an all day detailing session and how i'd go about contacting u to arrange it? do u have a unit of some sort or do u travel to customers areas?
Up until late last year, I used to struggle along trying to detail on peoples' driveways, which is fine for basic cleaning, but I firmly believe that if you're correcting paintwork (machine polishing) then it needs to be done indoors and in a well lit area. I detail on a part-time basis only (weekends) but took the decision to rent a dedicated unit so that I could offer a consistently good service and never have to reschedule due to rain, short daylight hours and even things like wind and very hot days can be a nightmare.
Now I try and do all corrective work in my unit (Walsall, WS2 area) but will travel to customers if they have a suitably well lit garage or unit for me to work in. To put this into context I am now fully booked for Jan and Feb and 50% booked for March and April, but only one of these details is taking place at the customers' house (a Ferrari 360). Most people seem happy with the concept of dropping their car off for such specialised work, and my unit is very secure and 'out of the way'.
