Hooligan

Had my 200 (2.0) for 3 years and love it despite running costs.

I realise every now and then what a riot it is, does the NA Hugh revving nature make anyone else feel like a hooligan looning around? In a good way of course.

My experience with performance cars is limited, only driven my brothers E92 M3 and was so in love with it wasn’t really taken any of that in, mind you when he floors it with M button on it also feels a “crazy” but that is also NA.

Just wondering what fast turbos are like, do they feel the same in terms of this? Say an S3 for example.

Alongside my 197 track car I also own a e92 m3 and the Clio can’t be compared to it.

That said the Clio is good fun.

As far as turbos,
I’ve had 5 skylines
2 Imprezas
1 evo
Galant super vr4

Turbo cars are great and massive power increases for relatively cheap mods are achievable.

I intend on turbo conversion my 197.
I like boost but wanted to try a large cc engine for a while hence the m3

This was posted on an MX-5 page, it might help you decide. Audi got into the habit of mistaking speed for fun too.

Sup guys, been boosted for about a year now, running 230bhp and 220 lbs/ft on a NB 1600. Don’t really know why, but I’m just finding the car quite boring to drive, yea it’s quick but I’ve gotten used to the power and kind of miss the character of a high revving NA motor. Toying with the idea of going back NA with the possibility of doing some bits with a 1.8 VVT, ME221 and bolt ons etc. Anyone had any experience with tuning these motors? And has anyone switched back to NA from boost?

I have a 275 megane and absolutely love it, but when I got the clio as well The NA feel was awesome haha. My friend is only after selling an s3 because it is "boring" to me a s3 or similar is something fast that my dad would like. RenaultSport cars are a true fun drivers car in my opinion

Thanks guys, it’s definitely fun! 3 years daily driver and a few bills but as I say I’m still happy.

Yeah Sparky197 I had an extended drive of my bros M3 tonight felt like I was a little kid again couldn’t stop smiling but that’s to be expected.

Both icons as driver cars in my opinion.
