Help please! Vids inc

It sounds as if they are doing everything they can to avoid paying anything out... Sorry to hear this is all causing you so much trouble, I hope you do get it all sorted.

Have you spoke to Citizens advice at all?
Oh I had a call back from Judge Rinder regarding my car dealer issue and the rough bint declined to appear haha. Wasn't surprised. Dodgy barstards. Just keep sending the relevant letters out. You have to do it correctly if you do actually want to pursue a small claim. It's worth also speaking to a solicitor for free too. You can get 20/30 mins free advice.
Oh and doing it in writing covers you totally with recorded delivery. Any chats over the phone are hard to back up.

Good luck.

Cheers guys.
I am putting everything in writing to them (letters and emails) addressed to the company director.
I have not spoken with citizens advice yet, I am trying to avoid spending any more time than is necessary dealing with it.
If they are unwilling to contribute or do not get in touch before Thursday then I shall seek legal advice. Finding the time to do that is quite difficult though :-/

Shells, when you had you manifold change, did you have to replace any nuts? or fit a new gasket? I am hoping to take my car to a local mechanic and just want to make sure I have the required parts should he have to cut/grind nuts off etc...

You normally have to give two weeks for them to respond within. If it goes to court and you don't follow protocol it will go against you. You can read about it online.
No it was just manifold and a mount. They supplied it though.
Back to your issue with dealer, if you use your own solicitor, you won't get the money back through the courts. That's why following trading standards is best and cheapest. You will definitely need to send out a 'letter before action ' after this one with a two weeks deadline. Failure to do this should you happen to go to court will have your case thrown out. Have you asked them also to take on the work? This also needs to be done. You have to appear to give them the opportunity to remedy things before slamming legalities at them.
My advice : read it up online.
