help.....headlights fuse?!

I was coming home from work tonight, my dip beam both headlights die while I was driving & I couldn't see where I was going! I have to stop at the side of the roads, couldn't find the fuse for the headlights so must be in engine bay but it was too cold, dark & middle of no where.

So I have to go quiet very icy road & use my fog light.

Is the fuse for headlight in the engine bay???

I believe the headlights are seperately fused, so they wouldn't both blow I feel. More likely to be something common, like the relay dislodged, or a faulty stalk switch.

fused are all ok, don't know where to look next?

dip light come automatic in night so I try stalk switch but no luck but the full beam, side light, and fog light are working.

well i have had this happen before with both headlight bulbs and brake light bulbs....also no guarantee that being new they wont "blow"!

if you touched the glass of the bulb......then possibly goes "pop" !!!

Found out the problem, it was the bulbs.

I never touch the glass so must be **** bulbs make.

Resurrecting a 6 year old thread lol

@Giles it seems I'm having the exact same problem as you mate. Dipped were both gone at the same time, then only one came on on its own, now nothing. Mains and sidelights work fine but I did check my bulbs and they are both fine. Really bizarre.
