Heating controls - modifying

Hi all,

Now it's not a major issue... But I don't really like the heating control nobs in the 197.

What can I do to modify / change them? Tried searching but can't find anything...

Maybe a dip?
New knobs?

doubt you can, changing to climate costs a bomb and is a huge effort

Yeah I'm not thinking climate control I was just thinking of changing them.

For example, on the Focus ST we changed them to ones on eBay which were much nicer

Knowing Renault they probably just pull off. Everything on these cars just pull off :lol:

You might want to get hold of a spare heater control unit from eBay to pull apart and work out what you can do, they look like they're about £20-25. I think the only difficulty will be with the central dial as it does both the fan speed and temperature. Unfortunately the Megane ones look identical, so there's no other Renault ones you can steal nicer bits from, so in all likelihood you'll have to make something yourself.
