Hard knock

I hear a fairly hard knock on de right-front of my 197 when I go hard on the brakes for the first time, second time most of the times he doesn't do this but when I then accelerate hard it makes the same knock again and then again when i hit the brake hard and so on.... :thumb1:
You guys have an idea on this?

my spelling and grammer arnt the best so bare with me.

it could be any thing to do with steering or suspenion:
i would start with springs, have a look and compare n/s/f to o/s/f also feel for a sharp edge at both ends.

are you able to jack the car up safely? if you can get wheel in the air and move it push and pull on both sides. there should be stiff with no free play or knocks.
