Just make sure she doesn't do what I did last winter;
I was following a gritter from a 'safe' distance as I thought it was on and didn't want to get sprayed. I eventually figured out that it wasn't switched on and went to overtake. Got right behind... and the gti switched the grit on and covered the car. :'( not a happy boy at all! So next day it was about 0c and I had to go clean it, polish and wax it just for peace of mind.
My golf gt tdi with 305 lbs ft of torque was a nightmare. It just could not get grip even with the traction control on! It spent most of last winter sat outside the house.
I had to defrost the car when leaving work last night to get home. Didnt have any de-icer as wasnt expecting it to be so cold, had to sit there for 15mins to let the heaters melt the ice!
