Hi wondering if anyone knows someone who does gearbox repairs in scotland for clio 200. My synchro rings have gone on 3 and 4th . Had one quote of £1200 thought this was very expensive.

it should be around the £500-£700 mark from what ive read in the past.

Did the quote include labour for removal and refitting ? Worth adding in a new clutch and slave also.

The quote i was given was just to recondition the box i have removed it myself due to the slave cylinder leaking but to post the box to england im Iooking at £60 quid each way .

£1200 to recondition a box that's already out sounds very expensive mate. I'd be hunting around for an alternative quote.

I would have thought that with shipping you should be able to get it done for £700 approx.

Quick up date managed to find a local guy whos gave me a quote of 500 for full reconditioning of my box. Sounds a good price
