Gearbox crunching into 2nd

ok just booked it into renault the car has decided it doesnt like 2nd gear anymore and crunches into gear everytime unless the engine is at tickover.... help every other gear is fine though...

Mine does this and its been to renault so many times.
It i change gear at a snails pase then its fine but who drives like that!?

Good luck, if you've got warranty force the issue and speak to RUK.

happened to my 197, was told it was the synchro mesh had gone. They replaced the whole gearbox for me no problems at all. :jase:

if your out of warranty, id be alittle worried, think they replaced the gearbox because it was the cheaper option.

no no got extended warrenty... was so strange though it just went booked in to get it looked at and guess ill go from there... cheers for quick replies
