Gear knob re-cover

I've just seen the cost of new gear knob.

Anyone done a re-cover -is this possible and what firms do this?

I should think Royal would do them. Give them an email, several of us have had gear gaiters done, can't see why Jack wouldn't do knobs too...

Not to hijack the thread but is there a how to on replacing gear gaitors? I've had one sitting around for a while but never figured out how to deal with the big staples under the clip.

A chap on eBay selling original 6 speed gearknob's for £12 posted.

I was very sceptical but come fully stamped up with original part number and fit like a glove - can not fault it at all.
