Gasket leak

Guys had an oil leak around the spark plugs 5 months ago and Renault fixed it but it's back again . When Renault had it they tried to seal it which the say didn't work so they put a gasket on the rocker cover. Does anyone know if it's ment to have a gasket as two techs recon its not ment too have one but just blue sealer and the gasket can affect the cam. Any info would be great thanks.

I was under the impression that the Head and Rocker Cover are matched together so there's no gasket needed. I may be wrong though and stand to be corrected...

When I left it with them there wasn't one but when I got it back there was they said they had to order a special one in it took over a week to fix.

head and cam carrier (top part of cylinder head) are machined as a pair as they incorporate the cam bearings - it is sealed via sealer - no gasket as the bearing clearances would be effected by one otherwise...

Mine seems to be collecting oil around number 3 coil where the coil is bolted if that helps fox

might be or could be leaking from the engine breather cover....

AS YOU CAN SEE THE ORANGE GASKET AND OIL LEAK FROM NUMBER THREE PLUG GOING AWAY FROM OIL CAP IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE.

yeh - engine oil breather seperator - needs looking at to see if its that or could be from a bolt like it leaks near no1 cylinder

just looked on a parts catalogue i have and yes there is a gasket for that item
