197: fuel filter on 2007 Clio 197 F4R engine

Hi all, I have been told that the F4R 2.0L engine has a life filter and not a replacement filter, is this the case? Just want to make sure as servicing my car and when I look on Euro and GSF it shows a fuel filter for the car, but I have read threads that say it has a built in one?

The fuel filter is indeed something that can be replaced in these cars, however the service interval for them is 144k miles.... So pretty much lifetime and therefore no need to change yours as part of its service. Unless it's topped 144k of course

there is an in tank filter built in to the pump so you have to change the lot....but! there are some cars out there with a filter near to the tank - you have to look for it underneath - & i think most continental 197 have a seperate replaceable filter
