Foam gun/lance

From what I gather the difference between the two is a gun typically attaches to a hose pipe where as a lance attaches to a pressure washer?

Are they really that good? Typically I use copious amounts of muck-off on the lower half of the car to remove dirt but it's not overly effective and just wondering if the investment is worthwhile?

I have one for my pressure washer, to be honest I don't think it does much and I very rarely use it.

The pressure washer on it's own will remove as much dirt (or 99%) of the dirt you would remove with the foam on a pressure washer

You have to alo experimenty with your foam solution if you get it right then you can in effect leave you car soaking in a cleaner for almost 20 mins then the muck just blasts off, If like me you found it hard to get the foam mix right then you get all of about 3 mins, very messy and wonder wtf you wasted your money for lol

I thought that when I first got mine, but now I mix half inch of snow foam and half inch of auto glym presssure wash in the bottle and top up with warm water and it works a treat! Also saves on snow foam aswell!

we still not got thr mix right, either its far tooo wet and just runs off or two thick and looks like a blizzard, even adjusting not quite there. whats better thick or thin ???

What ratio are you using Vikki and in what bottle?

I put about 1 inch of foam in my bottle and then fill it to the brim with water.

The mixture doesn't want to be too thick - think of it like sucking a milkshake through a straw.

The mixture of jetwash water and snow foam can then be adjusted on the bottle.

Snowfoam works best when there is a very good wax on the car.

Also snowfoam is better than say muckoff because it doesn't strip the wax!

Basically I would not use snowfoam if I wasn't using a good wax.

tried a third of a bottle with a good squeeze of maguirs gold. this picture was about 3 mins later.

any less and seemed to run straight off,and more and its a snow storm. with a v small garden as well it does not help

and the wax is .... i know, its not the best but its autoglym HD WAX,
