Fitting footrest

Hi just bought a metal footrest for my r27 from karl, but there seams to be no way of affixing it!

How have you done yours ?

Bought a strip of Velcro. Cut some off.it's self adhesive but not sticky enough. You'll want some "no nails" sticky strips or similar to stick the Velcro to the foot rest. I'm not sure what the one you've bought looks like but mine had 5 fixing holes in it. I put rivets in these so it looks nice. Then ground the backs nearly off so it was almost flat. Jobs a gud-un. You can then take it off to hoover under it if you use Velcro.

I never bothered riveting it on either - extra strong velcro strips have held my footrest and number plate on for 2 years without any issues!

Velcro used here too. Stuck it on to the foot rest with super glue as it wouldn't stick to the back of the it without it.

I purchased the correct backing plate & rivetted it to the carpet as per Renault.
I'm sure the velcro job is easier though, i just didn't like the idea that it could possibly dislodge & wedge under a pedal causing drama.

Riveted it to the carpet? Isn't the carpet too flimsy?
I may try that, for now, I used the velcro, though feels like its a little loose.

Yes to a backing plate & the carpet sandwiched betwen. Thats the correct way to mount it. No the carpet isnt too flimsy thats why the backing plate.
