Fitting exhaust

Just a quick question, I'm going to be fiting my exhaust on Saturday and was just wondering how far back to cut the standard exhaust from the cat? I assume just leave a few inches?

Link below is for the fitting instructions for the Akrapovich, there is apparently an indent in the exhaust that is used as a reference to cut from....

The instruction that came with my scorpion said to cut 70mm back from the weld on the boss for the lamda sensor, I'm guessing this is so the original can be sleeved when put back on
