Festoon Number plate bulbs - will these fit?

I'm not entirely sure if festoon bulbs are a generic size so I just want to check.

Will these fit for the number plate lights?

Unless 200's are different to the 197's then it's not festoons you'll need. It's normal side light bulbs.

Just noticed your signature and says you've a 197, in that case it's defo side light bulbs for the number plate bulbs.

In my 07 197 number plate bulbs are c5w size no matters that much because you can adjust it. I change mine for led's from this auction http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/201010076995

Yep, but 39 will fit easly, just don't buy smaller than 36mm

That's strange. Mines a 56 so one of the earliest and it's 501. Bit strange.

October 2006. Maybe mines have been changed at some point.
