This is a car which I have detailed twice previously. It's a great compliment to get a returning customer, especially on a number of occasions.
The car itself I'd not touched since last Summer, so it had picked up a couple of scuffs and swirls over the winter, along with quite a few bonded contaminants...
Some befores:

As ever, wheels first with AS Smart Wheels and G101. I then attempted to treat the brake dust pitting on these wheels with Wolf's Decon Gel:

Which seemed to be working, but only removed approx 50% of the pitting, after 3 lots of treatments throughout the day... I'll be trying some IronX when I see this car again in a months' time.
Next up, the car was snow foamed:

Then washed with Dodo BTBM, rinsed, then trated to Tardis then clayed...

WOW!
The car was then washed again, dried and the paintwork assessed.
The paint depth gave me an average reading of about 180, which is quite normal for this colour:

The car was covered in what appeared to be general swirling from washing, and quite a harsh winter. However, after testing some lighter combinations, I opted for Scholl S17+ on a Scholl Spider Pad, which gave me a great level of correction, and a superb finish:

It's superb by hand too, used to great effect on the door handles:

Halfway through, it began spitting with rain, so I stopped polishing and attended to the new Milltek exhausts, with Optimum Metal Polish. 50/50:

The car was then moved into a neighbours garage, so that I could complete the polishing set and apply the LSP.

Great flake pop from the Scholl polish:

The car was finished up initially with Zaino Z2P, which is seen here:

This looked okay, but didn't really offer the same level of depth as we'd seen on previous details where I'd used Zymol Vintage and Zymol Glasur.
Unfortunately, I didn't have any boutique waxes on me, but we tried Menzerna Powerlock sealant, which leaves a very wax-like finish on darker colours, plus has superb durability and sheeting properties, like a sealant:

Still, I wasn't quite as happy as I'd been previously, so I've agreed to re-treat the car with either RaceGlaze 55 or Zymol Glasur, in a months time, when the owner is back from holiday, to hopefully restore some of the depth seen previously.
A lot of people say that LSP's offer very little to the overall finish, but I must say, especially on darker colours, nuba waxes definitely offer the deeper, glossier finish, when compared to sealants. This car had been spoilt prviously with Zymol Vintage (£2200 wax!!), so I am keen to get at least something like Glasur on there again.
