Engine Mount Bolts?

The lower engine mount metalwork (on the left hand side of the engine bay if you were stood in front of the car) on my car looks a little worse for wear. The actual mount has been replaced with a Powerflex mount. It does not help that there is some debris down there that I have not yet cleaned up despite owning the car for 6 months.



Can I take out the 3 bolts and the metal bracket out without having to support the engine from below? Does the existing mount just hold it there?

I would like to give the black metal plate a rub down and paint it again to get rid of any rust. Also I would like to get some new bolts and washers to go back in. Does anyone know what size the washers and bolts are?

I would say that the mount would be taking some kind of load in its nature.

I would get something underneath just incase. If you are to remove it then getting the bolt size and washer size will be easy, look like M12 to me at a guess, however as for length I don't know.

If you are going to buy need the make sure they are high tensile.
