I'm looking at the engine from an interior fire damaged r26 f1 team
Anyone shed some light as to the potential issues I might have using an engine from a car that has fire damage, the electrics and wiring etc are obviously un-usable but i'm thinking the engine block itself?
Seemed to crank over fine on the 3 or 4 rotations I gave it, i'd obviously be changing the belts, oils but i'm wondering whether it's worth using or not worth the chance.
What about the turbo anything specific i'd need to check with that
Theres some melting of plastic components but the engine and box seem fine
Any experience or thoughts most appreciated
