One of the engine bay screws that holds in the alarm bracket and plastic fairing is threaded on my car. Well, the screw is not threaded but the hole it fits in to.
I bought some engine dress bolts from eBay which came with M6 screws. That has the same problem in the same hole. It fits it but the thread on the screw does not grip in the hole.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? Is there a product that I can apply to the thread of the screw so that will grip the thread in the hole but not be a permanent bodge job should I want to remove the screw in the future?
