ecu reset ????????

Hi all i want to rest the ecu for a freshen up .....
just looked at the battery connections looks tight to disconnect any advice ?
also i dont have a code for my cabbase radio will it need a code afer a reset ?
will anythink else need a reset/code ?

is it worth it ???

You will need the radio code.

The ECU on these learns, I am not sure if there is any benefit to a reset, someone else will confirm though.

where can i get or look for the radio code too ?

its in the handbook for the car or phone the dealer although some try to charge

I'm assuming you're trying to wipe the stored fuel trims or something by trying to 'reset it'?

The ECU doesn't store anything that needs clearing out, it's not like Windows where you have to reinstall it every couple of years to keep the performance!

Disconnect the battery don't reset completely the ecu...

i know it because i've change the fuel mode display on in-car pc and the 4 lightside when we strong brake.... and removing the battery it remain with the new config...

Is it under warranty still? If so, take it to renualt, they might have an updated fuel map to put on the car.

Have you modified the car in any way to introduce the flatspot?

it was there b 4 1 removed the rear sliencer box and made no difference when i removed it

Well if it was there before the exhaust then take it back to Renualt if under warranty and ask the to fix it. Alternatively, a remap might be able to fix the flat spot caused by fuelling.
