ECU Reset

Had new discs and pads fitted on rears after ABS warning light came on. Problem sorted but local mechanic said he's "reset" the ECU to get rid of message. Would doing that effect the re-map that my car has? Stupid question but sure someone out there knows? Cheers

The map won't be stored in the ECU's volatile memory so it will be fine.

All re-setting the ECU does is clear the learnt adaptation values and some fault codes. Good read here --> http://www.technomotive.com/theory/myth/ecureset.htm
