Early service light?

How exactly does the clio work out its time for a service? I always presumed it worked on the mileage alone? But this time mine seems to have come on a little early. It's only done 9k since its last official service (when the counter was reset). It has done one track day since then, but really doesn't get driven that hard so I find it weird it's come on too soon.

I'm not too concerned as I did an oil and filter change ~6k after the service anyway at the mid point as I always do with my cars.

I was wondering about this, mine was serviced early like 2000 miles ago but the mileage/interval not reset so it's saying it has 2500 miles to go before it needs it's next one.

If i reset it now will that be ok? i'm sure i've seen on here i can reset it, holding both buttons in whilst in service screen is it?

Ah that would explain it, it has been 11months or so since the last service, I just didn't think it actually took the time in to account.
