Driver's door won't open from outside, please help!

Hello everyone,

I recently got my door handles and some other bits wrapped but the detailer had a hard time getting the door handles out. In the process of putting stuff back together, a curious situation has developed.

When the car is locked, the proximity key and unlock sensors on the driver's door side work and unlock the car but the door does not open from the outside. If I climb in from the other side the door opens from the inside. Once you have opened the door from the inside, it starts working again from the outside until you lock and unlock the car.

Very weird, thought I would ask for help and guidance here before I go back to the detailer and get to the bottom of it.

thought I’d chime in and see if anyone else has a solution for this as it would happen very rarely on mine, but the recent heat it's happened every time i've left my car in the sun.
I had a similar problem on my megane but giving everything a spray with some WD solved that one but not this one
