Diffuser cleaning ?

I wash the Clio at least once a week (weather permitting) but im yet to find a product that helps to keep the diffuser looking good, seems to get really grubby after even a short drive, any recommendations? Cheers

I ended up taking to body shop and got it painted Matt black
Mistake
Good idea on drawing board
But in practice and imho lost the necessary distinction
Just doesn’t look as good as it did unpainted and dirty!

The gloss black looks great, I have never liked Matt colours on cars as I enjoy seeing a shine on my cars, realistically the diffuser is going to get dirty and cleaning it requires some dedication.

I’ll post a photo when I get back home and you guys can decide
But put it this way
I’ve been hankering over a brand new one and swithering ever since as I feel if I’m going to go back to factory look (given used ones are just that and in almost all cases pretty bashed up) I might as well do it right (in the meantime I have become a dab hand at removal and reinstallation and tbh it looks bloody good with no diffuser!!)

In the end I decided just to give it a good once over with soapy water, then Meguairs cleaner wax, then Meguairs polish, and finally sealed it with a silicone sealer. Looks fine for now.

That’s great
Happy you got there

Hard to make it out but it looks decent
yup
You’re right
It’s hard to see
But like I said I think that’s why they kept it hard plastic
It was perhaps to make it look more rugged
As when painted it just disappears and back of car just doesn’t look as good
Especially given the fact that the diffuser was such a big feature
Aesthetically and functionality
