Alright been reading about and am I right in saying best option for the 197's is a normal decat and leave the pre cat in? Will this bring any lights on and how is it on emissions I've herd some people have still passed mot's with them Decatted but pre cat left in cheers!
 
Utterly pointless IMO mate. It'll add a raspy note to the exhaust but ultimately is the biggest waste of money to add to a car really.

Unless you're planning on having a very decent remap alongside it, I'd leave it.

And as above, you have to have a cat fitted in order to pass an MOT as of next year so I'd keep it to save ballache!
 
Worth it on a Turbo, not so much on an NA. Sports-Cat is the safest option if you're that way inclined.

Like Klinck has already said, it's on the new additions list for the MOT from 01.01.12
 
Mine went through 2 MOT's(but they are changing as said next year)
I had the ore cat and secondary decat and full miltek system.
Emissions was fine. It did get the "check emmisions" light occasionally, but clears itself after a few trips in the car.

the decat pipe is £50... hardly a big waste. Linked to a system like miltek or ktec it will sound amazing and will pop and bang when thoroughly warm!!

Dont know about emissions next year but my light hasn't come on and one of the best mods I done to my car :smile:
