I sometimes use a Valet Pro Citrus based product as a traffic film / insect / road dirt remover before washing. Its good.

Anything PH neutral and Citrus based should help do the job sympathetically.....

Generally AF Citrus Power but lately I've switched to a product called Anachem Articulate, made by a local guy and is an excellent product - like most stuff he sells.

Bilt-Hamber autofoam with snow foam lance, 5-7 minutes working time.
Rinse with pressure washer and warm water.
99.9% of bugs gone.

A bit late to the party but chemical guys strong wash (bug bugger) is excellent for removing insects, I just use it neat as a spray.

They key is to get some good protection down first then the bugs come off easy - as said above AF citrus is a really good product, not cheap thought.

As kevlar said, when car is in good wax or you have for example ceramic coating, 99% of bugs will be gone after snow foam and pressure washing..

thanks guys. bought a bottle of AF citrus power. haven't used it yet. bugs are hiding from the rain over here.
