Cutting out

Having some trouble with my 197, sometimes when i go to push the start button it completely cuts out, lights dont work nothing electrical works! Im taking it back to garage tomorrow but wanted to see anyone on here had any insight into this? thanks

Not heard of that one myself but def sounds something electrical. Hopefully the dealers will find something

Ye i had a recovery guy come out and he was clueless at what happened, ye i think it is electrical tbf

Could be a faulty earth or water ingress into some wires. The Main wires running from the fuse board on the passenger side can rub on the chassis just below the headlight behind the bumper. Worth a look if their computer doesn't show anything amiss

my mate whos electrician saw one of my lights was earthed to the car not in its slot he thought could be that?

Could be, maybe clean the earth terminals and put them in the right place.

So i took it to garage i got it from they had a look and they think its the loose connection to the negative side of the battery so they ordered a new battery in.

I presume this is all under their warranty?

ye fair play, still under the 3 month warranty nd i got 3 years taken out on it aswell

Didn't think you needed a new battery but if they changing it under warranty then that great. Does sound like a dirty connection
