Custom Exhaust

I had my H&R springs fitted by a garage that deal in making custom stainless steel exhaust's for any car!

Now when i was paying for the work done on my car, i said;

"Just out of curiosity, How much would a cat back system be for the 197?"

and he said;

"Around £280. That would be for a cat back system with any tailpipe you want"

I then went on to saying i would want it looking standard like the exhaust on there now!

Now my question is this, Has anyone had a exhaust done by a garage like this? as i had one on my previous car and felt it didn't benefit the car at all, felt like it bogged it down a bit. Would that be because a remap would be needed?

I had a custom cat back done with the tailpipe looking almost standard. Sounds awesome but don't think it improved performance significantly. It is overall much lighter than standard box which weights very heavy.

Think the overall system should be made for better flow to see significant gains which would involve removing minimumly the 2nd cat and the giant resonator before the cat back.

Did you take any video's of the exhaust?

When you say you you don't think it improved performance, did you see any losses or anything?

haha i only got a photo of my catback.

i din't feel significant improvement or any losses so I can't really comment. however after removing the 2nd cat you will find the flat spot in ur rev range (which everyone reports anyways when they do this)
