Copying DVD's to iPads etc

Can anyone recommend me software that will allow me to do this. I want to get me DVD's onto my iPad.

Al ot of people would use http://handbrake.fr/.

You will commonly run into issues with copyright protected DVDs, I'm pretty sure circumventing such things is outside the forum rules though.

Generally Google is your friend

Theres nothing illegal about copying DVDs that you own onto your hard drive. Its only illegal once you start sharing that copy around, or sell the physical disc.

I'd suggest looking on avforums, hundreds of people on there store their DVD collection on a server etc.
