Due to have the cambelt etc. done shortly, spoke to renault who have the type d coolant but they said its green/ blue.

Where as the coolant in there is yellow. I take it coolants shouldnt be mixed if there different.

Not sure what to buy, as halfords have the pre-mixed orange stuff also?

Cheers

When I had my cambelt done, the garage used orange coolant. When I went back there for a different job and asked them to top up the coolant, they used green coolant (type d) so i'm guessing mixing different colours is ok as long as the coolant types are the same. If you're not sure, it's worth just flushing out all the old coolant.

Yeah it is green .
I had also orange/pink/yellow. O.o some weird color and i changed it to green(fully drained) since i didnt find the same color.
99.9% the green it is the right to go even by its color( its the color in renault's genuine gallons) plus all old172 used that and 197 .just the 200 came from factory with different color( maybe they did too) the point is usually everyone after first coolant drain put this stuff as far as im aware.
