coolant leak

Over the last couple of days my clio has started to loose coolant, its seems to be on the passenger side somewhere. I would defiantly say its coolant as it had a slightly oily feel. Jacked the car up this morning to have a look and couldn't really see anything wrong? I left the under tray off and had the car switched of to see if it was happening when the coolant system was pressurized, but typically it didn't appear to leak? I then left the car for 4/5 hours to see if anything happened but it was bone dry under there.

Pretty much baffled by what it could be now, has anyone else had this?

I know it sounds weird but get a bit of the liquid on your finger and dab it on your tongue. If it's sweetish it's coolant.

Is it coming out of the thermostat housing?

still haven't found it, there was none leaking from it for a few days but it started again today!!! dam it!!! I have found some coolant where radiator sits so I hope its not coming from the back of that.
