Cold Start Problems?

Hey all?

have just been reading through a few threads and a couple of people have mentioned cold start problems with the 197.

What is the problem and does this affect all 197's or is it just certain models and certain years? ive done a quick search and couldnt find much.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

its first thing from cold - the engine is a bit lumpy - renault recommend leaving it running for 1-2 minutes

There is no problem with actually starting the car that I have experienced, they are really reliable.

Some people (including myself) have found that the car kangaroos in first gear when the engine is cold. Renault have introduced a 'fix' for this but some of those that have had it found that it didn't help. In my experience it did take the problem away and now you cant really notice it. Some have said that turning the TCS off helps but I had already had the fix before I heard about this so I cant really comment!

yeah that makes sense, cheers people.

im guessing by it being a bit lumpy when cold that its probably a mapping issue then and the 'fix' is a re map?
