Clutch pipe

my clutch pipe jumped off the slave cylinder today resulting in a breakdown.

I'm going to replace it but I was wondering has anyone else had an issue with this pipe.

I guess it's damaged from being removed several times due to gearbox swaps.

I'd likely say it won't be damaged it's a very simple spring clip that holds the pipe on. Make sure the spring is present. I have heard of them popping off shortly after being messed with. Mainly due to people not ensuring it's fully clicked home due to the flexibility of the slave inside the box. I also put a screwndrive in a groove on the slave cylinder and push against that when putting the connector back on.

Exactly as Tom has said, if the clip is not put back on properly it can pop open. Happened on my car.
