The key to a usable photo is that it needs to be a very 'wide' shot and I mean wide in the photographic sense, with the car being small in the shot with lots of background. 95% of photos most people have of their car are no use.
I have to make them up by shrinking the car to fit height wise and then making / cloning extra background artificially to fill the rest of the width. The more background around the car gives me more to play with. If I have too little scenery to work with it looks artificial.
The irony of course being: Kev posts 100's of pics of his cars at his playground......and now might make the cover shot with his car parked-up in a "car-park" in Essex

Nik, is there a template we could work to please? Or if not, pixel dimensions of the banner image and the space we need to allow for the logo would be really helpful.

Guys, while we are on it, i think you could get away with a deeper header graphic. It would open up much more possibilities for the header image and it wouldn't affect the user image as it's a forum so the first thing anyone does when they get to a page is to scroll down.
