Clio Racers at BTCC

...so.....will the new Clio Cup series be in a Mk4 Clio? It all kicks off this w/e, are the Clio's making an appearance?

I think it will because mk4 clio got 4 door. BTCC got to have 4 door to race? Would be interesting to watch

I doubt the Clio will run in the actual BTCC (there's no real point). The Clio Cup series will run along side it though AFAIK, but like Marshall said its the MK3 this year.

...would be good to see a Renault car in the BTCC....I remember the old Laguna from the late 90's....there is a Golf....so the Meg could be a contender (in terms of class of car)....would have been good to see Mk4 Clio's from a marketing perspective this year tho...

I think the problem with running the Clio is there's already a dedicated series for them. It would be awesome to see the Megane in BTCC (or WTCC) spec, but again they've got a dedicated series for the Meganes - albeit a silhouette racer.

I'm still hoping RML will be in WTCC next year with a Renault.

Btcc is defo mk3 though.
