Clio 3 RS F1 Team R27 Meglio - it will be a trackcar

My car/Suspension was set up last week

Then it went straight to the Bilster Berg and OpenPitlane Trackday on Sunday.
First test passed successfully, only had the problem 3-4 times that a charge air hose blew off, but managed on site that it worked over the track day.

Because my lip literally flew away on the trackday (it didn't hold up quite as well before)
I opted for the Renault Sport Cup lip for C3RS Ph.1, the offset between the sill and the standard lip has always bothered me.
I ordered it from RS Performance, it even came within 2 days.

Assembled immediately today

Where did you get the poly windows from? What stops rain getting in the rear window breather holes?

My latest infos here, between the mods/infos are nearly 10 month, sorry for that :chair:

January 2022:
I finally got started on my engine rebuild.

Hardware:
Homemade manifold
Turbocharged Hybrid GR380 20T by Gontier Racing
H shaft connecting rods

Bearing shells main and connecting rod bearing KingRacing

The rest is made completely fresh / new.
Piston rings new, valve stem seals, complete timing belt kit, gaskets, sensors, etc.

The plan is to drive a steady 300+hp +- with it.

February 2022:

Finished the engine the last few days.

Here is a photo of the self-made oil return line

and of course then in with it 8)

There is an end in sight, but there is still some work to be done.
What's still to come:

I have already attached the new Airtec Meglio intercooler to its intended position,
Now I have to adjust the charge air piping, since a universal cooler was installed before.
Hoses and pipes will arrive tomorrow/the day after tomorrow, then continue on Thursday.
Likewise, the drive shafts etc. are already installed, he can drive again under his own power 8)
The large fuel pump also has to be installed.

I'm just so excited about the sound under load with the new exhaust manifold, very nice in "idle"!

August 2022:

Unfortunately, the engine broke down at the end of May. ?( . During tuning, two pistons (cyl. 2 and 3) unfortunately suffered a broken ring land. Whatever the reason.

The engine was then rebuilt within 2 weeks (since the car was to be our wedding car).
Bored to 83mm, Wössner forged pistons in, conversion to ARP bolts and of course everything around it new again.

The engine then ran 500km to break in with mineral oil, then 500km with Motul 15w-50.
After 1000 km we went directly to the first track day at BilsterBerg, everything was great.
Motor now has 1500km and everything up to now Tako, hope it stays that way =O .
Saturday attempt to tune again but this time at Felix van Loon with Dekker Motorsport (don't trust the other voter anymore as we suspect the previous damage was caused by faulty software)
Let's see if everything works as hoped.

Here are a few more pictures of the wedding dress and the damage to the engine:

After this tune in August i ran the car with 305HP and 470NM until i decided to do more power :-D

1. Flex pipe to 3" diameter with transition under the car to 70mm
Before it was a 76mm downpipe on a 70mm flexible pipe, so I personally found the "edge" too big where the exhaust gases bang against it.

2. Upgrade to Garrett GTX2867R =O Aimed performance 380-400hp (can already be done with "lowboost")

IMG_20221028_165347_031.jpg

3. Conversion with the GTX loader to Clio Cup/ Clio V6 airbox, since I now had a universal carbon airbox in it, which unfortunately is suboptimal for the performance of the flow in my opinion and is very noticeable when it comes to checks.

4. Upgrade to catch tank with additional Bosch 044 Motorsport fuel pump with Return Fuel System with external fuel pressure regulator.

Go on

The charger is in place, the downpipe is in there, the lengths of the intake hoses are adjusted to 90% and the fuel system is routed and connected.
Installing the charger involved a lot of adjustment work on certain lines, since the kit is actually designed for the Megane 2 RS body.
Charge air piping must be extended about 4-5cm, is an adapted Megane 3 RS silicone hose.

Fuel system wired with new relay and circuit (not yet fully completed in the photo)

Then made a new template for my Itecc battery and Clio Cup/V6 airbox today.
The transmission mount, where the plate will be later on, also had to be edited a bit because of the rubber from the airbox.
Modify the plate a bit tomorrow, it has to be approx. 2-3cm longer towards the back because of the battery, then transfer to aluminum plate.

Transferd the battery/airbox plate to aluminum today and created it beautifully
Some things like intake hose etc still have to be adapted to the airbox.
The battery will be adapted to plug connections, no more screwed ones.
Some more small things have to be done to have a good looking and usefull upgraded system.

And here the fuel system with catch tank. Hoses will be fixed with clamps so that they come out of the opening/hole in the middle.
