Clio 200 how to replace exhaust.

Okay, just got through my scorpion and I was set on it was a straight replacement. Now it has instructions and tells me that I've got to cut near the lambda sensor hub and then adjust brackets. Does anyone know if I HAVE to do this or whether they are generic instructions? Has anyone replaced one before on a 200? Thanks.

Yeah you need to cut the standard exhaust just downstream of the lambda sensor, assuming you have bought a replacement cat-back. Obviously make sure you match up the length of the new system with the standard system so you make the cut in the right place! Then the centre pipe should slide on, secured with a clamp and then assemble the rest

During manufacture the exhaust is fitted before the rear suspension. Hence the need to cut it out. The work shop manual confirms this. And also shows the exact location where the cuts should be made
