I'll be honest the only thing that makes me nervous with this is that some of the subframe bolts look angry. Does anyone know where I could buy replacements incase the worst happens?

Got the gearbox off yesterday - surprisingly easy job in all honesty. Easier on the floor than using the pit too.

Box has been dropped with DT Autowerx in Chesterfield last night for fitting new synchros and the LSD.

Quite excited now! Looking forward to seeing what the crack is and seeing if I can crack sub 1:13 around Blyton next month!

Are you replacing the clutch and/or slave whilst the box is out?

I am regretting not replacing the slave when we had our box done recently.

I was going with the if it’s not broke don’t fix it mentality but you’ve got me wondering if it’s worth just doing.

That’s exactly what I thought. It was good to see WhatsApp messages on Friday from Alex who rebuilt my gearbox who said, “Remember I told you to change it.”

My thoughts on stuff like this, is your labour is free, so you’re not losing out if you have to replace in the future.
That being said, I’d always replace the slave

Also found hat one of the Detent was damaged and replaced accordingly.

Can’t wait to get this back in the car now.
