Clio 197/200 Top Mounts Pointless?

I went to all the effort of getting top mounts for my car but I hadn't fully realised - with the anti rotation link the shock and top mount doesn't really rotate anyway - the hub does.

So whats the point in having top mounts?

Standard ones will probably do the job.

Adjustable camber is available on some aftermarket top mounts which is the main reason people upgrade, also the standard mount are rubber so upgrading to solid mount removes any flex in top mount, stiffening up the ride. I'm not sure how much that would benefit handling though. Probably wouldn't be to noticeable on a road car.
